James Sharp is a mixed media artist who produces artwork in a number of different forms. His works on paper include watercolour, oil pastels and inks. They are depicted on this website in the following categories: flora, beautiful women and erotic. He has also created a  unique range of metallic paintings on black paper and a series of paintings on wood normally featuring cats and other animals.

He has always produced collage in various media and since discovering the work of Lynne Perrella and Teesha Moore has started to create Art Journals. These include drawing, painting, writing, photographs, photocopies, stamped material and ephemera. There is a separate section on his Art Journals on this website. Selected pages from these Art Journals are reproduced in booklet form and are available to purchase from this website.

His most recent development is into textiles and a large range of products has been created. These include both decorative and utilitarian works. In each case they feature unique original artwork in the form of textile collages. These are included in the Textiles section.

James  is based in the Peak National Park where he utilises a converted double garage as his studio. He works in the studio daily on his Art Journals and other mixed media projects. Studio visits can be arranged. Following recent modifications in his studio classes can now be held there for up to four students per session. See the news page for more details.

There is a permanent exhibition of his painted works at The Quality Factor, Telford Road, Ellesmere Port CH65 5EU.
