stuff stash in book form

For the last few years I have offered my stuff stash in the form of a wall hanging for use on the back of the kitchen door. I have now developed one in book form which offers similar tidy attributes but has the additional advantage of being portable.

The stuff stash book is A5 size and has five pockets to store bills, tickets, lists and other day do day documents you need to keep handy. It also has plain pages on which you can record other pertinent information. It has a ribbon tie to keep everything securely in place when the book is not in use.

For those with a lot of stuff to manage I will also make an A4 size version to order. This is the same as the A5 one but bigger.

You can purchase the Stuff Stash Book from this website by clicking the following link:

dog journal

When I launched my Cats Journal last month I received an email from Pat Berry by return asking when was there going to be a Dog one. Well here it is and in an attempt to appease Pat for the delay I have incorporated an image of one of her beloved greyhounds on the cover.

The Dog Journal  is made from recycled materials and has collaged textile printing on the front and back. It has a book marker and thirty six pages that are decorated with page tags and canine ephemera.

lazy journal

When customers are looking at my journals they often say “I wouldn’t want to write in it” or “I wouldn’t know what to write in it”. Well the Lazy Journal has been designed specifically with these people in mind. Every page has already been written in! I have covered the pages with a variety of writing including extracts from diaries, posters, announcements and writing based artwork. The owner has a fully complete journal which can be dipped into whenever she feels like it.

It is made from recycled materials and has collaged textile printing on the front and back. It has a book marker and thirty six fully completed pages.

cook book

I have been working on a journal for cooks for some time and have at last reached a format that I think is practical and aesthetically pleasing. The Cook Book is made from recycled materials and has a textile covered binding which features textiled collage which has been hand printed. The format is A5 which is larger than my standard page size for art journals. There are five pages with pockets for storing your favourite recipes cut from magazines and other source material. Opposite these page pockets are plain pages on which the cook can make notes.

I hope that you like my Cook Book. It can be purchased online from my shop at this link :  http://www.sharpart.co.uk/shop/products-page/art-journals/

unusual commissions

Pat Berry is devoted to greyhounds and adopts them after their racing days are over. She currently has Jule and Herman under her care. Last winter I made them some coats to protect against the winter cold of Chicago. More recently Pat asked me to make a Halloween coat for Jule:

Herman is much too shy to go out in such garb but his picture is often to be seen on Anne Leuck-Feldhouse’s website (see my blog under Other Artists Stuff)  following a particularly successful pet portrait she completed last year.

If you have any ideas for an unusual product from textiles let me know and I will try to come up with some suggestions.

stuff stash

I have redesigned my Stuff Stash to bring it in line with my current work. It is ideal for keeping a whole range of items together in one place and can be hung on the back of a door or on a wall in its own right. It has nine usable pockets and two clips. Overall it measures 30″ x 20″.

The example above is decorated with pocket labels and my new sharpart ladies stamps but I can produce the Stuff Stash with or without decoration and labels to your own specifications.

If you would like to have your own Stuff Stash I will be pleased to discuss its design with you. I can be contacted on any of the media below:

sharpart rubber stamps

I have produced a range of rubber stamps featuring my own drawings of women’s heads. I have mounted the rubber onto a backing and then adhered them to a wooden block. The stamps can be used with various media and because of the lack of detail are ideal for use with textiles.

Art Journaling – Page Creation

I ran my Art Journaling – Page Creation course again at Beech Road on Sunday and we had a very creative and productive day. The day uses ideas developed by Lynne Perrella and Teesha Moore as a starting point for the artist to create pages of her own. The standard of art produced was very high and the following are examples:

Christine Lomas with her vintage portraits, Lynne Perrella inspired page:

Fiona Tuffley with her vintage portraits page:

and with one of her Teesha Moore inspired pages:

Laura Tuffley with her Teesha page:

Cindy Styles with her vintage portraits page:

Laura Monaghan with two Teesha pages:

and with her vintage portraits:

I couldn’t resist incorporating a photo of Amy in my pages:

We concluded by binding our work in a textile cover:
