I have added a Bollington Journal to my range of art journals. It is made from recycled materials and has collaged textile printing on the front and back. It has a book marker and thirty six pages that are decorated with page tags and ephemera to evoke the spirit of Bollington.

The Bollington Journal may be purchased in my online shop on the following link http://www.sharpart.co.uk/shop/products-page/art-journals/
Alternatively you can see the Bollington Journal at the White Gallery in Bollington where Fiona Bailey is holding a stock.
I hope that you like this addition to my range. If you would like me to develop a specific journal for you please send me details to tiksha@btinternet.com and I will discuss it with you.

Pat Berry is devoted to greyhounds and adopts them after their racing days are over. She currently has Jule and Herman under her care. Last winter I made them some coats to protect against the winter cold of Chicago. More recently Pat asked me to make a Halloween coat for Jule:

Herman is much too shy to go out in such garb but his picture is often to be seen on Anne Leuck-Feldhouse’s website (see my blog under Other Artists Stuff) following a particularly successful pet portrait she completed last year.
If you have any ideas for an unusual product from textiles let me know and I will try to come up with some suggestions.

I ran my printing on textiles course last Sunday at Creative Recycling, Beech Road, Chorlton. Some excellent work was produced but some attendees were too shy to have their picture taken! However, Kayli Rogers wasn’t and here she is with her wall hanging:

And here is me with mine:

I shall be giving this course again at Creative Recycling on Sunday 26 February 2012. Places should be booked direct with the gallery:

I ran my Art Journaling – Page Creation course again at Beech Road last Sunday and some excellent artwork was produced. We worked on some ideas developed by Lynne Perrella and Teesha Moore and used a range of recycled materials during the day.
Anna Marsland shows her work:

Matt Jones shows his work:

These are my Teesha Moore style pages:

Finally, we bound our signatures in a hard cover which I had decorated in textiles with one of my new rubber stamps:

I will be running the course again in the New Year and will include it in my blog under upcoming events as soon as I have firm dates.
I have redesigned my Stuff Stash to bring it in line with my current work. It is ideal for keeping a whole range of items together in one place and can be hung on the back of a door or on a wall in its own right. It has nine usable pockets and two clips. Overall it measures 30″ x 20″.

The example above is decorated with pocket labels and my new sharpart ladies stamps but I can produce the Stuff Stash with or without decoration and labels to your own specifications.
If you would like to have your own Stuff Stash I will be pleased to discuss its design with you. I can be contacted on any of the media below:

They have also agreed to sell some of my flora paintings in the cafe and they can be seen on the wall behind them.

I have produced a range of rubber stamps featuring my own drawings of women’s heads. I have mounted the rubber onto a backing and then adhered them to a wooden block. The stamps can be used with various media and because of the lack of detail are ideal for use with textiles.

I ran my Art Journaling – Page Creation course again at Beech Road on Sunday and we had a very creative and productive day. The day uses ideas developed by Lynne Perrella and Teesha Moore as a starting point for the artist to create pages of her own. The standard of art produced was very high and the following are examples:
Christine Lomas with her vintage portraits, Lynne Perrella inspired page:

Fiona Tuffley with her vintage portraits page:

and with one of her Teesha Moore inspired pages:

Laura Tuffley with her Teesha page:

Cindy Styles with her vintage portraits page:

Laura Monaghan with two Teesha pages:

and with her vintage portraits:

I couldn’t resist incorporating a photo of Amy in my pages:

We concluded by binding our work in a textile cover:

I gave my textile printing course on Sunday in which we incorporate the printed textiles into a collage and then assemble the collage into a wall hanging. The course went well and we all completed our projects:

Camilla Thomas with her wall hanging.

Sheila Birch opted to mount her collage at an interesting angle.

I made my version in line with my usual style.

Fiona and Glennis at Creative Recycling have made an urban garden on a concrete base. It attracts many visitors all year round and as well as providing an unexpected oasis in downtown Chorlton it also showcases a whole range of interesting artifacts.

They have decided to designate 2011 as the Year of the Garden and I have made a large wall hanging to commemorate this:

This measures 60″ x 30″ and is currently on display in the Gallery. I have made two smaller sizes for those who would like to have their own hanging:

This one is 24″ x 16″ and is available at £45.
I have also produced an ever smaller verson which is 16″ x 10″ and is available at £30:

I have also created some fun items on the same theme:
Aprons at £25:

Shoulder Bags at £25

T-shirts at £10:

Baseball Caps at £10:

I was pleased with the laptop bag that I made for Jack Lloyd recently and so made one for myself.

If you would like your own customised bag I will be happy to make one for you.
I now take commissions to make Textile Wall Hangings to commemorate any event that you wish. It could be a birthday, anniversary, retirement or any other event for which you would like an unusual and artistic addition. The size can be anything up to 60″ x 30″. Price will vary with size and complexity of the design. I recently made one for a Flea market in Evanston, Il:

I have now introduced a new range of Textile Journals which are available in two sizes. They may be ordered from me through this web site by email. The prices are £45 for the large and £25 for the small version. The following pictures give examples of the cover and internal pages:

I recently took a commission from Jack Lloyd of Bystander to create a textile bag for his laptop. Jack is the leading exponent of photo collage in the north west and wanted a collage to reflect his own energetic style.
