For the last few years I have offered my stuff stash in the form of a wall hanging for use on the back of the kitchen door. I have now developed one in book form which offers similar tidy attributes but has the additional advantage of being portable.
The stuff stash book is A5 size and has five pockets to store bills, tickets, lists and other day do day documents you need to keep handy. It also has plain pages on which you can record other pertinent information. It has a ribbon tie to keep everything securely in place when the book is not in use.

For those with a lot of stuff to manage I will also make an A4 size version to order. This is the same as the A5 one but bigger.
You can purchase the Stuff Stash Book from this website by clicking the following link:

Annabeth writes up the proceedings on her Glittermouse website and you can get a feel for what the meetings are like by clicking on the following link:

When I launched my Cats Journal last month I received an email from Pat Berry by return asking when was there going to be a Dog one. Well here it is and in an attempt to appease Pat for the delay I have incorporated an image of one of her beloved greyhounds on the cover.
The Dog Journal is made from recycled materials and has collaged textile printing on the front and back. It has a book marker and thirty six pages that are decorated with page tags and canine ephemera.

You can purchase the Dog Journal from this website by clicking the following link:

When customers are looking at my journals they often say “I wouldn’t want to write in it” or “I wouldn’t know what to write in it”. Well the Lazy Journal has been designed specifically with these people in mind. Every page has already been written in! I have covered the pages with a variety of writing including extracts from diaries, posters, announcements and writing based artwork. The owner has a fully complete journal which can be dipped into whenever she feels like it.
It is made from recycled materials and has collaged textile printing on the front and back. It has a book marker and thirty six fully completed pages.

The Lazy Journal can be purchased from the shop on this website by following this link:

I have created a coffee table sized textile book which is titled “Textilophilia”. It is bound and edged in textiles and each page has a multiple image textile collage. Back in 1990 Rosemary and I met Angela Diggle at an open air craft fair in Whaley Bridge. Angela persuaded us to go along to her art classes the following autumn and we attended these regularly for several years. Angela taught me all about watercolour and mixed media techniques and all of my output in these genres has derived from her influences. We both liked her own work and acquired a number of her paintings.

Angela moved down to St Ives in Cornwall and still paints and teaches in the artists community there. If you would like to make contact with her she can be reached on: AngelaDiggle@btinternet.com
The Spring is upon us and it is time to turn our attentions to gardening. Why not record your efforts and progress in a Garden Journal this year?
My Garden Journal is hand made from recycled materials including textiles, envelopes and an old hard backed book. The covers are made from textiles which incorporate hand printing. There are thirty six pages which are embellished with gardening ephemera. Each journal has a textile book mark.

I recently joined the New Mills Original group of artists which has its own retail gallery in Rock Mill Lane, New Mills. I now have a range of my products in the gallery including: bags, aprons, journals and my new framed textile collages. If you live in the High Peak area or are planning a visit make sure to look in at the gallery where there is a broad range of high quality arts and crafts on display.

I have been working on a journal for cooks for some time and have at last reached a format that I think is practical and aesthetically pleasing. The Cook Book is made from recycled materials and has a textile covered binding which features textiled collage which has been hand printed. The format is A5 which is larger than my standard page size for art journals. There are five pages with pockets for storing your favourite recipes cut from magazines and other source material. Opposite these page pockets are plain pages on which the cook can make notes.

I hope that you like my Cook Book. It can be purchased online from my shop at this link : http://www.sharpart.co.uk/shop/products-page/art-journals/
I have added a Bollington Journal to my range of art journals. It is made from recycled materials and has collaged textile printing on the front and back. It has a book marker and thirty six pages that are decorated with page tags and ephemera to evoke the spirit of Bollington.

I have opened a new shop on my website which I have called “other stuff”. I have put all of my miscellaneous items into it including rubber stamps, packets of paper pieces and textile printed collage pieces as well as circular and rectangular page tags. If you are an active artist or crafter you are bound to find some items of interest. For everyone there is my range of greeting cards which I have buddled up into discounted packs. Rosemary and I have been collectors of the work of these two artists for over twenty years. During this time they have worked in many media always prefering to use recycled materials wherever possible. This has included handmade paper, wire, wood, found ephemera and glass. They are now recognised as leading developers of fused glass art.
For the past six years they have owned their own gallery in Chorlton at 40 Beech Road. The Gallery has expanded through this period and now includes two main galleries, the shed where prints are displayed and courses are held, and an extrordinary urban garden. Next door Fiona’s son Jack Lloyd has his own framing and print business.
The following are just a few examples of their prodigious output. You can see more of their work and various activities at:
http://www.40beechroad.co.uk/
or even better pop along to the gallery and give yourself a real treat!

On this course you will be taken through all the steps necessary to make your own book utilising a range of recycled materials including envelopes and textiles. At the end of the course you will take home your own book that you will have made and decorated yourself.

This course is proving very popular and I suggest that you book early to avoid disappointment. Places should be booked direct with:

Pat Berry is devoted to greyhounds and adopts them after their racing days are over. She currently has Jule and Herman under her care. Last winter I made them some coats to protect against the winter cold of Chicago. More recently Pat asked me to make a Halloween coat for Jule:

Herman is much too shy to go out in such garb but his picture is often to be seen on Anne Leuck-Feldhouse’s website (see my blog under Other Artists Stuff) following a particularly successful pet portrait she completed last year.
If you have any ideas for an unusual product from textiles let me know and I will try to come up with some suggestions.

I ran my Art Journaling – Page Creation course again at Beech Road last Sunday and some excellent artwork was produced. We worked on some ideas developed by Lynne Perrella and Teesha Moore and used a range of recycled materials during the day.
Anna Marsland shows her work:

These are my Teesha Moore style pages:

Finally, we bound our signatures in a hard cover which I had decorated in textiles with one of my new rubber stamps:

I will be running the course again in the New Year and will include it in my blog under upcoming events as soon as I have firm dates.
I have redesigned my Stuff Stash to bring it in line with my current work. It is ideal for keeping a whole range of items together in one place and can be hung on the back of a door or on a wall in its own right. It has nine usable pockets and two clips. Overall it measures 30″ x 20″.

The example above is decorated with pocket labels and my new sharpart ladies stamps but I can produce the Stuff Stash with or without decoration and labels to your own specifications.
If you would like to have your own Stuff Stash I will be pleased to discuss its design with you. I can be contacted on any of the media below:
